Terminal 1 and Terminal 3

The current official airline directory lists Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Terminal 3 is operating with gates G, H and J. The airport states that all airlines previously operating from Terminal 2 have moved to Terminal 3.

Using an older itinerary or guide? Check the flight again before following a Terminal 2 instruction. An old terminal reference is not a reliable guide to today’s check-in location.

Terminal 2 can still appear in parking products. A parking-area name does not mean your airline checks in there. Match your flight terminal and the parking product’s transfer instructions separately.

Find your airline and check-in area

Use the official Airlines A–Z directory and the departure information for your actual flight. This guide deliberately does not reproduce an airline-by-airline allocation table that could become outdated.

At Terminal 1, the regional rail station is on Level 0. Follow the signs for your check-in area rather than assuming that the first entrance is closest. At Terminal 3, use your airline’s confirmed check-in instructions.

Transfer between terminals

The airport’s orientation page lists a free SkyLine connection between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, operating 04:00–23:00 with departures every 2–3 minutes. It also lists a terminal shuttle bus from 22:00–05:00, with stops in the arrivals forecourts. These are published operating hours, not a guarantee for a particular journey.

Check the official transfer instructions for changes and station locations. Include walking, waiting and any security or border formalities in your connection plan; train frequency is not your total transfer time.

Use the map for the last part of the route

Open the official airport map

Look for your terminal, gate or service and check whether it is in the public or security area. If you are connecting without entering Germany, ask the airline or transfer staff which route fits your documents and boarding pass. See rail and ground transport for access from outside the airport.
