Before you travel
Is this the official Frankfurt Airport website?
No. Airport Frankfurt Guide is an independent information site. For airport operations and current flight information, use the official airport website.
Does my flight still use Terminal 2?
The airport says all former Terminal 2 airlines now operate from Terminal 3. Check your actual flight and the official airline directory before travelling. Read the terminal guide.
Where can I see current arrivals and departures?
Use the official airport flight pages linked from our arrivals and departures guides. This website does not display live flight data.
How early should I arrive?
Follow your airline’s guidance and deadlines for your flight. Add time for reaching the correct terminal, bags, security and any assistance needs. A single arrival-time rule would not fit every itinerary.
Are the liquid rules the same at every checkpoint?
No. The airport distinguishes CT-equipped checkpoints from transfer checkpoints and certain Terminal 1 checkpoints. Check the current official security guidance for your gate and onward journey.

How do I get between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3?
The airport lists a free SkyLine connection and an overnight shuttle. Check the terminal transfer guide for the hours verified during our review, then reconfirm them before travelling.
Which station should I use for Frankfurt city centre?
Start with the regional station beneath Terminal 1 and plan a route to your actual city destination. The long-distance station is separate. See trains and other transport.
Is airport Wi-Fi free?
Yes, according to the airport’s Wi-Fi page. See our services guide for the network name and official connection instructions.
Can I wait in the drop-off area to collect someone?
Check the current forecourt time limits and charges. A parking garage is a more practical option when you need to wait for baggage collection. See parking and pick-up planning.
Can I use a lounge in another terminal?
Check its location, security zone and admission conditions first. Your boarding pass does not automatically give access to every area or lounge. Use the lounge planning advice.
